Frosted or transparent, colour-tinted or clear like ice – glass is one of the most seductive and surprising artistic mediums. The exhibition Crystal Clear comprises a selection of work by three talented glass artists from the Sussex and Surrey Guilds - a group of highly-skilled crafts people living in Sussex and the adjoining counties. The glass art by Fleur Grenier focusses on flow and colour, inspired by drawings of molten lava and incorporates exquisite pewter detailing – glass from small bowls flow like rivers into the pewter and vice versa.
Whereas Adam Aaronson’s artwork interprets light on the landscape, sky and water, the play of light creating changing tones in the finished piece, whether it be a vase or a bowl or small glass animal. And the work of Katrina Beattie, whose exquisite and decorative glass pieces contain bewitching optical effects using bubbles of trapped air. Not to be missed!
