The main aim of the Friends of Horsham Museum & Art Gallery is to raise funds to support Horsham Museum and Art Gallery in updating and preserving the Museum's collections.

Members of the Friends are currently working on projects to create directories of Horsham streets and of Horsham town centre shops, detailing the change in use of premises throughout the last century. With your help we could do so much more.
Since 2016 the Friends have provided much needed funds to support the museum in building and increasing a watercolour art collection of regional importance that reflects the growing significance of Horsham. The watercolour collection now stands at over 250 works of art and individual paintings can be seen at the museum by appointment.
One of the Friends' most successful projects was the completion of The Albery Poster Project.
Between August 2011 and September 2014 the Friends successfully completed The William Albery Poster Project supported by a £45,000 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. The project stimulated interest in the local history of Horsham through preserving, recording, researching and using the William Albery poster collection, in community engagement and education.
Friends' volunteers were involved in creating a digital archive and online resources for the collection at www.horshamposters.com.

Meetings and Excursions
There are several meetings held during the year, some are talks, some involve trips to other museums or perhaps a local garden and then there is the Christmas get together every December. Full details can be found in our programme of events.
